Not waiting to the very last minute for necessary paperwork. The closing check amount was emailed to me at 12:01 am the day of the closing, as well as the final closing statement, which I barely had time to read prior to closing. I was given incorrect information about transferring utilities to my name, that too, did not have to be done on the day of the closing, all three utility companies said the buyer can call a week ahead, with a projected closing day to transfer service. And just fyi, the seller's agent entered the home AFTER my closing, AFTER I owned the house, to retrieve a realtor "lock box," which was on the ground OUTSIDE the house. He then unlocked the front door and threw the key on the floor, inside the door. And snapped off one of the sprinkler heads near the front door. He was there for the walk through prior to the closing, HE COULD HAVE TAKEN THE LOCK BOX WITH HIM, AND RETURNED THE KEY AT THE CLOSING. I was told repeatedly how "difficult" this seller was to work with. He crossed the line from difficult to illegal. Again, the lock box and key exchange could have been done prior to or during the closing, since the seller insisted on attending the closing, but in a separate room. Again, he entered the home I OWNED at least a day after the closing. I even went back to my home after the closing, he could have retrieved his lock box and given me the key then. I will also be relaying this information to Mike Weber, the closing attorney. All in all, the closing experience was chaotic, traumatic, and rushed. I do not want to live in fear of retaliation from this seller and his workers. This has not been a good experience at all.

Eliel took the time to explain the entire process. Whenever we had a question, he always made sure to explain very well so we could understand everything. He consistently went the extra mile to send us estimates for all the houses we were looking at, allowing us to have a clear idea of all the numbers. This is something that other lenders are not willing to do.
